Belgium-Netherlands seminar

You are invited to take part in our tax seminar "Navigating Through Cross-Border Tax Risks" organised jointly by EY Belgium and EY Netherlands.

As neighbouring countries, Belgium and the Netherlands are important trading partners for each other. This is reflected in the growing number of cross-border activities and workers, among other things. The seminar will therefore look at these bilateral working situations and promises to be an interesting afternoon for professionals who are keen to keep abreast of the latest news and developments between our two countries in the area of tax legislation and market developments.

We are also delighted to be able to welcome a special guest speaker this year. None other than the chair of the International Tax Law Expert Group on payroll tax will talk about current topics.

The main themes of the seminar will be:

  • Latest developments: Our expert speakers will cover the most recent tax updates affecting businesses active in Belgium and the Netherlands in relation to wage tax, social security and corporation tax.
  • Practical case studies: Take part in practical case studies illustrating the complexity of cross-border employment and discover the strategic approaches to manage this. This includes, among other things, the risk of a permanent establishment for the purposes of corporation tax and the points to consider regarding the obligation to withhold payroll tax.
  • Interactive Q&A session: Get your specific questions answered during the Q&A session. You can submit your own questions or cases when you register!

This seminar is intended for CFOs, tax directors and managers, HR professionals and anyone concerned with general tax matters in Belgium and the Netherlands and, in particular, the management of cross-border employment in their organisation.

The seminar will conclude at 17:00 hours with networking drinks. You can register for this seminar here.
