Artur Gevorkyan’s journey from a war-torn Armenia to becoming a global leader in the powder metallurgy industry is a testament to his resilience and innovation. After emigrating to Ukraine in 1991, he established the first private plant in the country, quickly capturing nearly the entire powder metallurgy market. Seeking greater business opportunities, he relocated to the Slovak Republic in 1996, where he laid the foundation for GEVORKYAN in the former dressing rooms of a bankrupt company.
Today, GEVORKYAN is a world leader in powder metallurgy, boasting an annual growth rate of 20% to 30%. The company specializes in four unique technologies designed to solve customer’s problems: sintering, the compacting of metal powder; metal injection modeling, the injection of composite materials; hot isostatic pressing, a manufacturing process to increase the density of ceramic materials; and 3D printing. This diverse portfolio enables GEVORKYAN to collaborate with clients globally, delivering cutting-edge solutions tailored to numerous industries.
GEVORKYAN creates most of its solutions in-house, producing more than 2,000 different types of components and developing over 150 new products annually. Components are shipped to over 30 countries worldwide, serving diverse industries such as automotive, aerospace, petroleum, agricultural, construction, medical and cosmetics, among others.
Artur’s philosophy emphasizes the importance of adaptation, quality and integrity returning to business, symbolized by the boomerang in the company’s logo. His story serves as an example of how perseverance and innovation can drive success in a competitive global market.
