Join us to discuss the implications of new tax and regulatory updates for family offices and practical approaches to prepare for them.
Singapore recently introduced the Section 10L of the Income Tax Act, which pertains to the taxation of gains from the sale or disposal of foreign assets occurring on or after 1 January 2024 that are received in Singapore by businesses without adequate economic substance in Singapore.
In July 2023, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) also consulted on the proposed qualifying criteria for class exemption for single family offices (SFOs) from licensing under the Securities and Futures Act, as well as the implementation of notification and annual reporting requirements for SFOs.
Following overwhelming interest on the above tax and regulatory developments for SFOs during a short sharing at the EY Asia-Pacific Family Office Summit in November 2023, this webinar offers a deeper discussion on the upcoming regulatory developments. Join us and our panelists to discuss the implications of these developments, and to explore practical approaches in making sure we are prepared for these upcoming changes.
