Transforming governance, risk and compliance in the GPS sector

Learn how forensic methodologies and technologies leveraging AI or ML can transform governance, risk and compliance in the government sector.

In today’s evolving governance landscape, public institutions are operating in a high-stakes environment with high expectations of integrity and near-zero tolerance of fraud. Government internal expenditures and external programs for businesses and citizens, such as loan schemes for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), various grants and financial support schemes, operate at an enormous scale with significant volumes of transactions and beneficiaries. As a result, any lapses, whether due to fraud, abuse or errors, may dampen public trust.

Join us for a focused, high-impact session exploring how forensic methodologies and technologies that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) can transform governance, risk and compliance in the government sector.

At this highly interactive half-day session, participants will be able to:

  • Familiarize themselves with the anti-fraud by design concept, conducting fraud risk assessments, deploying preventive checks and detective early warning mechanisms to transform processes and workflows to enhance oversight.
  • Dive into one of three breakouts focusing on: conducting fraud risk assessments, continuous monitoring (including predictive analytics and document authenticity technology), and whistleblowing and investigation framework.
  • Connect with peers from the government sector and engage with EY Forensic & Integrity Services professionals.

This event is relevant for key stakeholders managing government programs (loans, grants and other financial support schemes) and key executives in the following functions: finance, internal audit, legal, compliance and investigations in the Singapore government and public sector.
