Transition planning in banking and capital markets for sustainability
In March 2026, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) issued the guidelines on environmental risk management – transition planning (TPG) for financial institutions (FIs) that builds on the existing MAS guidelines on environmental risk management published in December 2020. These guidelines are essential in helping FIs enhance resilience and future-proof strategies through refining their strategic planning and risk management processes in light of the growing global focus on sustainability and the transition to a net-zero economy.
We are pleased to invite you to an event where we will delve into the latest developments in Singapore's sustainability landscape, specifically focusing on the recently released TPG and their implications for the banking and capital markets sector. We will share insights into the current state of readiness and maturity among various FIs in adopting these guidelines. There will also be panel discussions where speakers from EY and industry professionals will discuss about common challenges faced in meeting these transition planning requirements and explore potential solutions to address them, as well as how to unlock value from through transition planning.
