David leads the Strategy and Transactions practice in Energy for EY’s US-West Region. He helps energy clients address their capital agenda, specifically supporting clients through complex business challenges, including capital allocation, portfolio rationalization and optimization, reorganization, exploring alternative financing structures and M&A.
David is a boomerang. Prior to rejoining the firm, he worked at an investment banking firm as a principal investor responsible for originating transactions, negotiating term sheets and credit agreements, and managing the investment from acquisition to final disposition. David is also well-versed in structuring transactions via senior secured and convertible debt, convertible preferred stock, warrants and common equity.
He received an MSA from the University of Notre Dame and a BBA in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. David is a CPA licensed in Texas and a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers.
