On March 12, 2025, Ambea, a leading Swedish provider of care services in the Nordics, announced its acquisition of Validia, a prominent Finnish provider of rehabilitation and housing services. This transaction marks a strategic step for Ambea to enter the Finnish care market and strengthen its position across the Nordic region.
Validia operates around 50 residential care units, offering high-quality services to individuals with disabilities. The acquisition complements Ambea’s commitment to providing best-in-class care and enhances its footprint in one of Europe’s most attractive care markets.
EY supported Ambea throughout the transaction by providing people due diligence services, helping identify key HR considerations and ensuring a smooth integration process. This transaction highlights EY’s specialized capabilities in for first-class advisory services on various M&A topics, including cross-border acquisitions.
The transaction is completed 1st April 2025.
