Areas of focus

After earning his Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Csaba served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EY Hungary for eight years. He then spent 1.5 years as Regional Business Development Operations Leader. Between 2015 and 2024, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at EY Hungary, overseeing the firm’s operations. Since 2019, he has been an active member of the Strategy and Transactions team.

Csaba has gained extensive experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, and other consulting activities, including:

  • Buy-side financial due diligence
  • Sell side / vendor due diligence and other transaction-related vendor assistance
  • Business plan validation
  • Industry-specific independent business reviews with a focus on growth and operational efficiency
  • Support in the preparation and negotiations of Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA)

Selected transaction and business advisory projects:

  • Participated in numerous domestic and international buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across industries such as manufacturing, transportation, technology, telecommunications, food industry, financial services, oil & gas, and energy
  • Led buy-side financial due diligence in the defense and manufacturing sectors
  • Supported a major Hungarian logistics group in its international expansion through buy-side due diligence and SPA negotiations
  • Provided transaction advisory services in several successful deals for a Hungarian telco company, leading buy-side due diligence projects
  • Delivered vendor assistance to an oil & gas company, including financial due diligence and SPA support
  • Assisted a foreign leasing company in its exit from the Hungarian market, leading the vendor due diligence process and participating in the full M&A transaction
  • Led multiple financial due diligence engagements in the energy and renewable energy sectors on both buy-side and sell-side, gaining deep industry and regulatory insights
