EY to centralize bookkeeping, accounting and payroll outsourcing services, further enhancing and expanding its professional service offerings

We hereby announce that EY Business Partner Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenji Kasahara; hereinafter “EYBP”) will be the sole provider of the outsourcing services for bookkeeping, accounting and payroll which were previously provided by both EYBP and Ernst & Young Tax Co. (hereinafter “EYTAX”) as of 1 July 2022 and that these services will be immediately available to our clients. This transition will enable EY to enhance the quality of services provided to our clients.

Demand is growing every year for outsourcing services in bookkeeping, accounting and payroll operations as companies contend with rapidly changing business environments and shortages of personnel with specialized knowledge. While EY member firms EYBP and EYTAX have both provided these services previously, the outsourcing services for bookkeeping, accounting and payroll that were formerly conducted by EYTAX have been assumed by EYBP in order to better meet the diverse needs of our clients. This centralization of service offerings will foster synergy by enabling us to better leverage the integrated knowledge and expertise of both firms and to provide services to both foreign-affiliated and Japanese clients of all scales. In addition, EY member firms will continue to coordinate with each other to provide services beyond those mentioned above.
