Sydney Cake House Sdn Bhd was founded in 1982 by Jenny Chuang. The company manufactures shell curry puffs, pastries, pies, cakes, muffins, European breads and rolls under the ‘Mak’ Cik’ brand name. These products come in frozen, pre-bake, pre-proof and ready-to-eat forms for catering and retail.

In 2015, the company embraced Industry 4.0 to be competitive in the market, using robotics, digitization and automation in their processes, which meant employees who used to push trolleys were now up-skilled into the baking department.
