Highway through green forest

Climate resilience: from risk to readiness

Climate change already costs at least an estimated US$16.3 million per hour in damages globally, resulting in approximately US$2.86 trillion over two decades from 2000 to 2019*. Climate resilience has therefore become a strategic priority for leaders shaping the future of cities, businesses and financial systems.

Join us to explore the future of adaptive climate resilience and the pathways for Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region to build robust and future-ready systems in the face of accelerating physical climate risks.

A partner event under Ecosperity Week, this session will examine both the challenges and opportunities associated with strengthening adaptive resilience across urban infrastructure, finance and risk management. It will spotlight emerging innovations, investment priorities and evolving resilience strategies across Singapore and the region, with a focus on urban heat resilience as well as coastal and flood resilience.

Key highlights:

  • Bringing together senior perspectives from policy, research and industry, this event will underscore the importance of cross-sector collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches in accelerating real-world impact.
  • Program highlights include a fireside chat and an industry panel discussion, featuring guest speakers who bring seasoned, real-world experience in climate resilience.
  • A networking session wraps up the discussion, allowing more intimate connections and conversations among a like-minded community.
