Recruiting and retaining talent is a challenge for many businesses, including family offices. The Singapore family office industry is considered relatively young. Despite so, according to government estimates, there are about 700 family offices established as of January 2023, up from 400 in end-2020 and up sevenfold from 2017.

This tremendous fast growth over such a short period of time is causing strain to the current talent pool in meeting the increasing demand for talent. Foreign talent has been an alternative solution to meet the needs, but with the new Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS) introduced, employing foreign talent could bring its own challenges. There is also a need to align the interests of principals with the professionals in the family offices.

Join us in this roundtable as we discuss and share our views on how to attract, motivate and retain the right talent for your family office. We will also be sharing insights on the newly introduced COMPASS, which will be effective from 1 September 2023, its qualifying conditions and how this could impact your family office.
