Chee Wei leads the consumer and health industries in the tax practice in Singapore. He also has vast experience in providing tax services to companies in the real estate and asset management sectors. He has handled numerous engagements for inbound and outbound international tax restructuring, transaction tax advisory and tax structuring involving multinational companies, large private and public investments, private equity and hedge fund investments.
Chee Wei was previously with Singapore’s state investment firm for almost 10 years, where he provided advice on Asian and American private equity and hedge fund investments. In that position, he also led tax structuring and due diligence for large direct and coinvesting deals and helped establish new platform companies.
Chee Wei is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) with a minor in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
