Brett is a Principal in Strategy and Transactions at Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) and the leader of the Real Estate service within the Valuation, Modeling and Economics group.

Brett has experience with portfolio and single-asset valuation, valuation review, transaction due diligence, asset monetization, loan portfolio reviews, portfolio optimization and numerous other areas. He has completed complex portfolio valuations for purchase price allocation purposes (ASC 805) for transactions for private and public REITs, corporate clients and other real-estate-intensive clients. In doing so, Brett has provided valuation services for assets located in Canada, Mexico, the US and many countries throughout South America, Europe and Asia.

Brett earned his BBA in Finance, Investment & Banking; Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and Risk Management & Insurance at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

He holds his Illinois broker’s license and is the managing broker in the Central Region of Ernst & Young LLP.

Brett is a regular speaker at the AICPA and Appraisal Institute.
