Jaco Louw serves as the Africa Insurance & Risk Consulting Leader at EY, where he guides insurers in navigating regulatory change, market disruption and emerging risks. He works closely with clients to develop future‑ready operating models and strengthen risk management capabilities.

Before taking on his current leadership role, Jaco led the EY Africa Actuarial Practice, building a team of more than 80 actuaries across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Mauritius, Nairobi and Lagos.   

His experience also includes finance & cost transformation, target operating models, financial reporting (IFRS17, Embedded Value and Regulatory) as well as Merger & Acquisitions, deepening his understanding of the sector’s challenges and opportunities.
