Lance has held the position of Africa Assurance Leader since 2010.
His career with EY spans more than 25 years, beginning when he was a bursary student and started his accounting studies in 1989.
Lance made Partner in 2001, and has subsequently held various leadership positions, including Assurance Team Leader for the Mining, Construction and Telecoms Group; Training Officer; and Global Client Service Partner on AngloGold Ashanti.
How Lance is building a better working world
Lance believes that the Assurance service line’s contribution to a better working world comes primarily through its ability to inspire trust and confidence in the capital markets in which EY operates. As leader of this service line, he is mindful that this can only be achieved by providing the right tone at the top.
