Mark Libakeni is a seasoned assurance executive who currently leads EY Zambia as Country Managing Partner. In his role, he drives business transformation initiatives, nurtures C-suite relationships, and provides strategic insights to navigate complex financial landscapes. Mark joined as an Assurance Partner in 2017, where he played a pivotal role in delivering audit and advisory services, ensuring high standards of corporate governance and quality assurance.
Mark has over 30 years of experience in financial investigation, audit committee operations, and risk management, working across multiple markets in Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Saudi Arabia. He has also contributed to the development and implementation of accounting standards as a former ZICA council member.
Mark holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University, a Bachelor of Accountancy from Copperbelt University, and a Bachelor of Law from University of Zambia. He is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
