Fadi Smeirat

As a Senior Partner at EY MENA Consulting practice, Fadi leads the Health care and Life Sciences sector across the region. He uses his vast experience of over 20 years to steer the region's top pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, as well as to manage the strategic relationships with the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His responsibilities are further amplified in his role as the Global Consulting Account Leader, where he oversees a comprehensive suite of life sciences companies, both locally and internationally, and serves as the key regional coordinating partner. Fadi's extensive focus on the government health care sector enables him to adeptly navigate and drive strategic as well as transformative initiatives for the government and a host of international life sciences firms across the MENA region.
During his two decades at EY, Fadi has masterfully directed a multitude of projects across diverse functional realms, including strategy formulation, market entry, model of care design, efficiencies for patient pathways and care models, supply chain optimization, sourcing and procurement, distributor management, IT evaluations, financial and accounting scrutiny, commercial operations enhancement, national policy framework, market penetration tactics, as well as pioneering growth and innovation initiatives, among others.

Prior to EY, Fadi honed his proficiency at a prominent regional family-owned conglomerate, where he spearheaded initiatives in process audits, meticulously crafted internal controls, and conducted comprehensive financial and operational reviews within the manufacturing and retail industry.

Fadi's commitment to continuous learning is evident from his academic achievements, which include a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan and a master's degree in Financial Management from the Arab Academy for Banking & Financial Sciences, complemented by his professional accreditation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Over the past two decades, Fadi has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to lifelong learning, actively pursuing advanced knowledge in executive leadership, industry trends, artificial intelligence (AI) and other evolving domains to stay at the forefront of industry innovation and thought leadership.
