Driven by a commitment to improve access to innovative modern medicine in Poland, Dr Małgorzata Adamkiewicz has made significant strides in the pharmaceutical industry. After a decade as a physician, academic and scientist, she pivoted to the business world following her father-in-law’s death and saved the family business — Adamed Pharma, a pharmaceutical company that would impact millions.

Under Małgorzata’s leadership, the company developed hundreds of medicines, breaking industry monopolies and making cutting-edge treatments more accessible and affordable. Adamed Pharma has secured 250 patents globally and expanded into various therapeutic areas, positioning itself as one of the key players in the Polish economy.

Małgorzata’s influence extends beyond pharmaceuticals. During the pandemic, she collaborated with experts to establish Poland’s first medical guidelines. Her initiatives also reflect a holistic approach to health care through screening campaigns for early disease detection and a youth suicide prevention program. By fostering collaboration between science and business, Małgorzata has not only reshaped the pharmaceutical landscape, she is also inspiring a new generation of health care professionals.

In today’s unpredictable and ever-changing world, empathy is a strength for entrepreneurs, because people are the key to success. Ultimately, I aim to impact the world by promoting the idea that the highest value is human health and life.
