The dinner was supported by Government officials and business executives from Hong Kong and mainland China. Sir CK Chow, GBM, GBS, JP, an independent non-executive representative of EY Global Governance Council says: “Accounting professionals can offer expertise which contribute to a better business world. They use a standardized language and principles to provide a comprehensive overview of an asset’s financial health and performance. The standardized presentations also enable sensible comparisons across different industries and geographies.

“In our specific case, they help with better navigation in connecting China and the world, bringing in overseas investors and facilitating outbound investments.”

Charitable donation of HKD550,000 to BGCA

Nurturing talent and taking up social responsibility remain an essential part of the EY purpose. EY Greater China teams are dedicated to support the community and have cultivated professionals with diverse talents, who are serving as the backbone of various industries.

EY , through Ernst & Young China Foundation Limited, donated HK$550,000 to the “Treasure Trove” of The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) to support children and youth of deprived groups in Hong Kong, helping to provide them with opportunities for balanced development and create a happy, healthy and fruitful life.

Jack Chan says: “We understand our vital role in nurturing the next generation of professionals. This has always been a long-term commitment for EY Greater China. As an expression of this commitment and a small way for us to give back to the community, I am incredibly pleased to announce a donation to BGCA as we commemorate our 55th anniversary.

“By investing in our people, we are not only building a stronger EY but also helping our clients drive their business success and support economic growth in Hong Kong and beyond.”

EY and BGCA co-organized the “Our Hong Kong. Our Future” art charity program and invited children and teenagers to create 300 artworks to portray the future of Hong Kong from their perspective, imagining the future of Hong Kong with unlimited creativity.

Innovative technology has been integrated with the children’s creativity, and 300 unique NFT charitable arts were presented to the guests at the dinner as a token of appreciation, sending the message of love and talent cultivation in an innovative way, and building a better future together.

Jack Chan says, “I hope this initiative demonstrates our commitment to innovation and environmental protection as we seek new and sustainable ways to engage with our clients and the wider community. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the guests who attended the event, together with EY, and have accomplished this good deed tonight and given us a truly momentous and meaningful 55th anniversary.”
