EY Law advised Vaaka Partners in a dual deal uniting electrical contractors Eltrea and Sähkö-Vendelin into Vaaka's majority ownership.

Vaaka Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Finland and Sweden, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority interest in Eltrea Group, on 21 May 2026. Simultaneously, Eltrea Group will acquire Oy Sähkö-Vendelin Ab through a connected transaction.

 

The combined electrical contracting group will have annual revenue of around 30 million euros and employ around 120 electrical contracting professionals. The group aims to position itself as a frontrunner in electrical building technology and to accelerate the transition towards more energy-efficient and sustainable construction.

 

EY Law is proud to have supported Vaaka Partners in all legal aspects of the transaction. The transaction highlights EY Law's ability to deliver high quality legal advisory services to private equity investors in multi-party M&A processes.

 

The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
