On June 2, 2025, Verkkokauppa.com Oyj, a leading e-commerce pioneer in Finland, announced the sale of its consumer financing business to Norion Bank AB and its payment solutions unit, Walley. The preliminary purchase price for the transaction is approximately EUR 34 million, with the final price to be determined based on the value of the loan portfolio at the time of closing. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.
The partnership between Verkkokauppa.com and Walley began in 2017. This newly signed transaction deepens their long-term collaboration, as Walley will assume responsibility for Verkkokauppa.com's entire consumer financing offering. As part of this strategic move, Verkkokauppa.com and Walley have also entered into a long-term partnership agreement. This collaboration aims to provide innovative consumer finance and payment solutions tailored to Verkkokauppa.com’s diverse customer base.
