Miklós Sánta

He joined EY's Budapest office in 2003 and has built an extensive career across both the Hungarian and international EY network. He previously led the Hungarian Desk and later the Eastern European Desk at the New York office of Ernst & Young LLP, supporting U.S. and global companies investing and operating in Central and Eastern Europe.

Throughout his career, Miklós has advised clients on a wide range of international tax and transaction-related matters, including due diligence projects, corporate structuring, transfer pricing, VAT advisory, financing arrangements, profit repatriation strategies, and cross-border business transformations. He has significant experience supporting multinational organizations in designing and implementing centralized operating, financing, holding, and intellectual property structures.

His professional expertise spans numerous industries, including energy, automotive, life sciences, technology, media, and entertainment. He has led advisory engagements involving large-scale financing and leasing structures, international holding and treasury arrangements, intellectual property planning, and complex corporate reorganizations. He has also represented clients in discussions with the Hungarian Ministry of Finance and other governmental and regulatory bodies.

For more than five years, Miklós led EY's New York-based Eastern European Business Group, which provided strategic tax advisory support to multinational companies pursuing investment and expansion opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe.

Miklós is a certified tax advisor and a frequent speaker at industry conferences and professional seminars. He regularly contributes to publications and thought leadership initiatives focusing on international taxation, investment trends, and the regulatory and economic development of the Central and Eastern European region.

He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
