Zoltán works in the customs field of EY’s indirect tax service line. He started his career at the Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement, Department of Constitutional Law. Later he worked for the Ministry of National Economy, Department of Public Finance Regulation as deputy head of department where he oversaw the operation of the Public Finance Regulation Office and was involved in the preparation of state budget laws. After that, as a government advisor to the Prime Minister's Office, he took a prominent role in assessing various draft financial legislation, mainly related to tax and public finance law. As head of department at the Ministry of Finance between 2018 and 2022, Zoltán was responsible for managing the work of the Department of Tax and Customs Administration, including the codification of tax and customs administration legislation, and contributing to the management of the Hungarian tax authority. Before joining EY, he worked as a regional Trade Compliance manager in the private sector.
Zoltán received two Ministerial Awards: the first one from the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, and the second from the Ministry of Finance.
He graduated in International Relations from Mathias Corvinus Collegium, has a law degree from ELTE-ÁJK and passed the bar examination. He speaks fluent English and German.
