We are pleased to announce the following individual top management appointments for our EY Japan Region (effective 1 July 2019).
- Koichi Tsuji will assume the post of Japan Regional Managing Partner (RMP).
- Moriaki Kida will become Special Transition Leader (STL).
Koichi Tsuji presently heads EY Japan as Country Managing Partner of Japan Area and as Chairman & CEO of EY ShinNihon. In conjunction with the integration of Japan as a Region within EY's Asia-Pacific Area (announced on 1 November 2018), Tsuji will step down from his current positions as of 30 June 2019, and will then assume the role of Regional Managing Partner (RMP) of the Japan Region, which will represent the largest Region in Asia-Pacific, and take up the post of CEO of EY Japan effective on 1 July 2019.
Moriaki Kida has played a key role in leading our EY Japan operations as Deputy Area Managing Partner. Kida will relinquish his current position as of 30 June 2019, and assume his new role as Japan Special Transition Leader (STL) from 1 July 2019 upon the integration and will additionally become COO of EY Japan.
Going forward, Tsuji and Kida are committed to building on our solid foundation by working on strengthening client relationships as well as securing and leveraging outstanding talent. In doing so, they will promote greater 4SL collaboration across EY Japan and oversee the business to further expand Japan's operations with the aim of delivering high-quality services in every major industry.
