Norma Franco is a Partner in EY Portugal’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice.
With more than 20 years of experience, she has been working in sustainability and climate consulting since 2007.
At EY, she is responsible for the coordination and management of projects related to sustainability and climate change, including:
- Advisory services for ESG integration: Sustainability Reporting in accordance with GRI Standards and ESRS/CSRD, and ESG integration plans;
- Climate advisory services: GHG emissions inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol, development of decarbonization plans, and the definition of targets aligned with climate science (Science-Based Targets);
- Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies;
- Environmental Due Diligence: assessment of environmental risks in transactions;
- Development of corporate policies aligned with the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability and the Equator Principles.
She has multidisciplinary consulting experience across sectors including Logistics, Industry, Hospitality, Agribusiness, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Road Infrastructure Management, Healthcare, Aviation, Media & Entertainment, Construction, and the Public Sector, as well as international experience in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, France, and Angola.
She holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering – Management Systems from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCT), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Communications and Advertising from the Instituto de Novas Profissões. She has also completed executive education programmes in Life & Executive Coaching at Kingstown College; Negotiation and Sales at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics; Future of Professional Services at NOVA SBE; and Sustainability Leadership at the University of Oxford.
