Pedro is the Country Tax Leader and heads EY Portugal’s International Tax department.
Between 2006 and 2008, he led the Tax Desk for Portugal, Malta and Cyprus at EY’s New York office, where he gained extensive experience in providing tax advice to multinational companies, with a primary focus on matters relating to US investment in Portugal, Malta and Cyprus.
He began his career in 2001 as a lawyer at a national law firm (where he completed his admission to the Portuguese Bar Association) and joined EY in 2002. Since then, he has built extensive experience in international taxation, tax advisory and planning, both domestic and international, restructuring operations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law.
He holds a Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University, Porto.
He regularly participates as a trainer and speaker at various tax-related courses, conferences and seminars, both in Portugal and internationally.
