Sara has been a Partner at EY Law, leading the Corporate and M&A practice since 2024.
Sara has 24 years of experience in Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, having built her career at some of Portugal’s largest and most prestigious law firms.
She has extensive professional experience and focuses primarily on advising on corporate transactions, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and reorganisations, venture capital transactions, and corporate finance matters. Sara advises both national and international clients across a range of industries, with a particular focus on the financial services, energy, industrial and technology sectors. Over the past 10 years, she has specialised in regulated industries, including the insurance and renewable energy sectors.
Sara holds a Postgraduate Degree in Securities Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2007/2008), attended the Miranda Chair in Transnational Finance Law – International Contract Law Course at the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, and earned her Law degree from Universidade Lusíada. She was also recognised in Best Lawyers 2024 for M&A in Portugal.
In addition to Portuguese, Sara is fluent in English and Spanish.
