Joel has over a decade of experience working with cost segregation, tax depreciation and other tax incentives at EY. Originally located in London, Joel now covers the Nordic region from a base in Stockholm, Sweden. He has worked across a wide range of sectors and has particular expertise in real estate, renewable energy/cleantech, industrial engineering, and life sciences.
He specializes in producing cost segregation claims for large and complex construction projects, applying quantity surveying techniques to substantiate valuations. He also works with clients to obtain funding in respect of research and development activities.
Joel has extensive experience in formulating tax-technical arguments in support of contentious claims and of facilitating negotiations with the tax authorities.
