Saurabh N. Agarwal

Mr. Saurabh N. Agarwal is a Managing Director and Partner at Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm. Based in Singapore since 2016, he leads the firm’s investment activities across Southeast Asia and has played a central role in building and expanding its presence in the region. Under his leadership, Warburg Pincus’s Southeast Asia business has grown to over US$7 billion in assets under management, with a portfolio of more than 20 investments across the financial services, technology, health care and consumer sectors.

Mr. Agarwal joined Warburg Pincus in 2009 in New York and has since led investments and scaled businesses across the United States, Southeast Asia and India. He has served as a public and private company board director across more than 25 leading global businesses and currently serves on the boards of several high-growth companies, including Advance.AI, ABDA Insurance (IDX: ABDA), BFI Finance (IDX: BFI), Circles.Life, Everise, GCash (Mynt), MoMo, Oona Insurance, Techcombank (HOSE: TCB) and Xuyen A Hospitals. His previous board roles include AAG (HKG: 2686), Converge ICT (PSE: CNVRG), Competitive Power Ventures, RS Energy Group and Trident. In these roles, Saurabh has provided strategic guidance on growth strategy, leadership development, capital allocation and governance.

Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Agarwal worked at McKinsey & Company and Temasek Holdings. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Microelectronics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
