Bangkok, 27 January 2026. EY Thailand reaffirms its commitment to sustainable social development and social value creation through the “A Move for Good” initiative. This project transforms the firm’s office relocation into a significant opportunity to create social impact by donating high-quality office furniture and equipment to the Mirror Foundation. These assets are being distributed to schools and charitable organizations nationwide, reflecting EY’s dedication to efficient resource management and fostering long-term positive change.
The “A Move for Good” project marks a major milestone as EY Thailand transitions to its new office. The firm intended for this move to drive value beyond the organization itself, extending tangible benefits to society. By repurposing a vast collection of furniture and office equipment, EY aims to build a stronger social foundation, rooted in the belief that resources with remaining utility should be used to their fullest potential. This initiative underscores EY’s commitment to playing an active role in driving positive transformation within communities and society.
Ratana Jala, Country Managing Partner, EY Thailand, said:
“We believe that business success must go hand-in-hand with social responsibility. This donation aligns with our core conviction that the true value of these assets lies not in their monetary return, but in their potential to be repurposed to their fullest capacity, creating real opportunities that deliver a meaningful impact on society.”
Under the project, EY donated all furniture and office equipment from its previous office to the Mirror Foundation to support the Foundation’s operations. The Foundation plays a crucial role in managing and redistributing these items to schools, hospitals, and underprivileged charities across the country. This effort has directly enhanced the quality of life and learning environments for youth. To date, over 8,000 items have been allocated to 131 schools, 2 hospitals, and 18 charitable organizations across 22 provinces, enabling educators and public service personnel to access standard equipment that directly supports effective teaching and social services.
“A Move for Good’ is more than just a donation of items no longer in use; it is a sincere commitment to channeling quality resources to where they are needed most. We are proud to see these pieces become part of improved community environments, supporting the vital work of social organizations to create shared, sustainable value,” Ratana explained.
Beyond the donation, EY Thailand also visited schools that received furniture through the project, particularly those affected by recent floods. These donations have been instrumental in restoring learning spaces, allowing schools to resume their operations. This visit not only highlights EY’s commitment to creating positive social impact but also inspired those involved by demonstrating that when resources are used to their highest potential, they can truly change lives and unlock new opportunities.
“We are proud to help restore damaged learning spaces into areas of opportunity once again. Seeing our furniture become more than just ‘objects,’ but rather ‘new hope’ that enables students and teachers to learn and work in a safe and supportive environment. ‘A Move for Good’ is not just about giving; it is about restoring smiles and empowering the community to overcome crises with resilience,” Ratana added.
Sombat Boonngamanong, Director of the Mirror of Foundation, said:
“The Mirror Foundation is pleased and grateful to EY Thailand for prioritizing social value and for entrusting us to be part of this initiative. This support does more than meet the needs of rural schools and charities; it fosters equal opportunity and improves the community's quality of life. It perfectly reflects EY’s belief that utilizing resources to their fullest potential can truly create sustainable and long-lasting positive impact for society.”
The outcome of this project has not only fulfilled the needs of various institutions but has also created a ‘positive ripple effect,’ unlocking ‘new value’ to resources to drive tangible social impact. As an organization dedicated to shared value, EY Thailand hopes that “A Move for Good” will inspire other organizations to recognize the importance of resource circularity and to advance their social missions in delivering positive and sustainable change for society.
