EY Africa Strategy and Transactions Leader

Born and bred in Africa. Committed to creating exceptional experiences for people, clients and society. Happy husband and father of three daughters. Passionate about early childhood education.

After joining EY in 2003 and becoming part of Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) in 2005, Quintin now leads the EY Africa Strategy and Transactions team. 

He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst, and has held the position of Valuation, Modelling and Economics (VME) Leader in Africa since 2015. During this time, he has grown the team by 50% year on year and has significantly built out the economics service offerings within VME.

As Africa Mining and Metals Transaction Leader, Quintin spearheaded the development of a specialised technical professionals’ team that comprises geologists, engineers and environmental scientists. Having successfully launched these new specialised offerings into the market, the team now provides transaction technical services to our natural resource clients.

Quintin is committed to creating exceptional experiences for EY’s people, clients and society. He plans to build on the strong momentum that has been generated in Africa Strategy and Transactions and will continue to grow the business by creating stronger teams, adding incremental new services to the existing core Strategy and Transactions offerings, and growing in new geographies and markets. 

Africa Strategy and Transactions has received external recognition as Reporting Accountant of the Year by Deal Value at the South Africa Deal Maker Awards.
