Working across the financial and operational turnaround, restructuring, insolvency and advisory arena in several industries globally, Alan is the EY-Parthenon UK&I Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy Leader. He advises boards, corporates, regulators, government, funders, pension trustees and investors on how best to rapidly adapt to a changing environment and create, protect and recover value to transform the outcome.

Having joined EY in 1985, he has over 35 years of experience acting as Principal and Leading Advisor to Boards (public and private) and stakeholders in challenging, stressed and distressed situations.

Alan has been appointed in many high-profile and sensitive restructurings and is regularly retained to act for the UK Government. He is highly experienced in rapid cash/ cost improvement, accelerated disposals and acquisitions in stressed and distressed situations and assisting stakeholders in managing rescue, recovery and refinancing situations around the world.
