Lourdes leads the practice of Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Capital Markets at EY Abogados, from where she has participated in numerous projects to evaluate the functioning of the Board of Directors and its Committees; advice on Good Governance; adaptation and monitoring by societies and their groups of codes and recommendations, and best practices in the matter; diagnostic and implementation of Corporate Governance Systems in all types of entities, listed and unlisted, and groups; and legal advice on conflict of interest management, among others.
In the area of Capital Markets, Lourdes has a deep experience in regulatory advice and operations in markets such as listing and admission to trading of securities in regulated markets and multilateral trading systems, takeovers of control shares in listed companies, etc.
It has been included in the Best Lawyers directory for 2020 in the practice of Corporate Governance & Compliance. She is a member of the State Lawyers Corps, IESE Leadership Program for Public Management, and a law degree from ICADE (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas).
In her more than 20-year career, Lourdes has been Vice President of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and Director of the Bank of Spain, member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Commission of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and member of the General Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
