Joining Ernst & Young Tax Co. in 2000, Masako Kanaya is both a partner in the firm and EY Japan’s International Tax and Transaction Services Leader. With over 25 years of international tax advisory experience, she has engaged in advisory services tailored to M&A and reorganization since 2003. She was seconded to EY’s London office for two years from 2012.
Throughout her career, Masako has provided pre/post-merger tax advice to numerous multinational corporations, investment banks and funds. She has extensive experience of cross-border transaction engagements and leading international advisory teams.
Bilingual in Japanese and English, and is a Certified Public Tax Lawyer in Japan.
