As an Associate Partner in the Ernst & Young LLP CFO Advisory practice, Francois focuses on providing strategic and technical advice to finance leaders across financial services organizations. His area of experience includes finance transformation, finance process, risks and controls, and accounting and regulatory change.

Under his guidance, the CFO Advisory team assists clients on the key agenda points of a CFO, such as cost, compliance, cognition and control.

Prior to joining EY, Francois served in various senior Finance roles for a major UK and African banking group. He has over 18 years of experience in banking and advisory, across Europe and Africa.

Francois is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a CFA charter holder.

How Francois is building a better working world

Francois is working toward building a better working world by helping major banks transform their finance functions to be fit for the future, facilitating them to provide value to their stakeholders in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Through advising his clients on the implementation of complex accounting and regulatory requirements, such as Basel IV and IFRS 9, Francois helps his clients to achieve effective compliance.

Francois is also passionate about the use of public cloud computing to enable exponential transformation in the financial function.
