Ernst & Young, New Zealand (“EY New Zealand”) is excited to announce that the team from boutique technology consulting firm Q4 Associates Limited (Q4 Associates) has joined EY New Zealand effective from today, 1 August 2022. The Q4 Associates addition will enable EY New Zealand to better serve clients, particularly in the financial services sector, by strengthening its existing intelligent automation (IA) and robotics process automation (RPA) capabilities and bolstering EY New Zealand’s existing financial services technology consulting team.

The team of 12 highly skilled technology consultants are joining the EY New Zealand financial services technology consulting team, with Q4 Associate’s co-founders Samantha Osborne, Maurice Dubey and Shayde Boryer joining the leadership team in New Zealand. The team will be based out of the Auckland office and will service clients across New Zealand and Australia.

Q4 Associates offer full stack IA and RPA projects and consulting services. They have a strong brand in the New Zealand market across broad industry verticals, working with some of the largest institutions.

Paul Roberts, Financial Services Leader, EY New Zealand said, “As we continue to grow our recently formed New Zealand financial services practice, it made sense to bring on board a team of highly experienced IA and RPA professionals.”

“The addition of the Q4 Associates team to our existing New Zealand financial services practice, along with a number of other significant hires and promotions over the last six months, means we are rapidly expanding our presence in the market and continuing to bring our financial services clients the deep industry knowledge and experience they need to help them address some of their most complex challenges.”

Samantha Osborne, CEO from Q4 Associates said, “This is an exciting next step in the evolution of our business and we are looking forward to being part of the EY regional and global network, which will present fantastic new opportunities for both our people and our clients. With EY looking to grow their existing team by bringing in key talent with deep data skills and local market experience, we knew this opportunity would be a great fit for us as we start a new chapter for our business and the joining together of our teams creates a compelling service offering in the local and regional market.”

Grant Peters, EY Financial Services Managing Partner, Oceania, said, “I am excited to welcome the team from Q4 Associates to our financial services practice in New Zealand and, in particular, to our growing financial services technology consulting team. This is another great example of our ongoing commitment to providing leading professional services and tailored support to the financial services sector, as we work with clients to create an even stronger, more trusted and sustainable New Zealand financial services ecosystem.”

Brian Collins, EY Financial Services Intelligent Automation Leader, Asia-Pacific, said, “I am thrilled to be able to offer our clients an expanded set of capabilities with the addition of Q4 Associates to the EY team. We have worked alongside Q4 Associates in the market for some time now, and I am confident our shared values and culture align well. This expansion will help us to meet the growing demand for digitisation and automation services in Oceania, as our clients seek to provide the best solutions to their customers.”
