Mateusz is an Attorney-at-Law specializing in new technology law, financial sector regulations related to the use of new technologies (FinTech), including cloud-based solutions, as well as issues related to cybersecurity and the protection of intellectual property rights in the IT sector.
He has extensive experience in regulatory projects focusing on adapting entities from the banking, insurance, and investment sectors to new regulations, particularly the DORA Regulation, as well as changes in regulated outsourcing and compliance with supervisory authority guidelines and recommendations.
Over the course of more than 12 years of practice, he has advised leading technology providers as well as international and Polish entities in the financial, telecommunications and energy sectors on new technology law. He has led complex negotiation involving implementation agreements (in waterfall and agile models), development, and maintenance of advanced technological solutions, represented clients in litigation, and provided legal support in due diligence processes and M&A transactions. His experience includes working at a leading Polish law firm, as well as serving as in-house counsel in the legal departments of two banks and a technology company.
Mateusz is a speaker at numerous conferences and training sessions, during which he focuses on the legal aspects of IT projects and FinTech regulations. He was also a lecturer in the professional training for legal advisors at the Wrocław Bar Association and at the University of Warsaw.
He graduated from the University of Warsaw and completed a course at the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies co-organized by the University of Cambridge, as well as obtaining the Agile PM Foundation certificate in project management in agile methodologies. He is a member of the Warsaw Bar Association.
