E.ON, the international energy company, has agreed to divest its district heating activities in Åkersberga, north of Stockholm, to Solör Bioenergy Group. Åkersberga is a fast-growing municipality and the biofueled district heating business delivers c 70 GWh heat per year.
Solör is a Nordic producer and distributor of heat, steam and electricity, primarily in the Swedish and Norwegian markets.
EY Corporate Finance, through its Nordic Energy and Infrastucture Corporate Finance team, acted as financial advisor to E.ON in the competitive transaction process.
