EYs dedicated Renewable Energy Corporate Finance team has acted as financial advisor to Norwegian wind developer Zephyr in the divestment of a majority stake in a major Swedish offshore wind development portfolio to Vattenfall.
Zephyr and Vattenfall will jointly continue the development of the 2.8 GW offshore wind portfolio located in the Swedish Exclusive Economic Zone off the west coast of Sweden, comprising both bottom fixed and floating offshore wind projects.
EY provided sell-side M&A advisory services Zephyr in the competitive process which attracted significant interest from both Nordic and international investors.
Zephyr is an integrated developer of renewable energy projects in the Nordics which manages the development, construction and commercial operation of renewable energy assets. The company is owned by the Norwegian energy producers Østfold Energi, Vardar and Glitre Energi.
