The international research The Legal 500 EMEA 2026 has once again highly ranked EY Tax and Legal practice in Ukraine. The EY team received recognition in six categories: Tax, Commercial, corporate and M&A, Energy, Real estate and construction, Private clients, and Employment.
EY was named a leading firm in Tax (Tier 1). The editors highlighted the achievements of the team led by Vladimir Kotenko, particularly in the energy, IT, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors.
“The team acts on the full scope of tax work, from international tax structuring and transaction support, to tax dispute resolution and compliance,” the editors noted. Vladimir Kotenko and Iryna Kalyta received individual recognition in the Leading Partners category.
EY legal practice was also recognized as one of the strongest in Commercial, corporate and M&A (Tier 2). The editors underscored the team’s strong expertise in corporate governance, legal entity compliance, and business rationalization projects led by partner Borys Lobovyk, who was additionally recognized in the Leading Partners category.
In addition, the legal practice was acknowledged in Energy (Tier 2), emphasizing EY involvement in strategic energy projects. The team possesses substantial expertise in regulatory matters, policy implementation, and regularly assists with deal structuring, contract drafting and support on public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
In Real Estate and construction (Tier 3), EY was recognized for its involvement in complex projects, including providing legal and financial assessments of investment models for residential developments.
People Advisory Services team led by Olga Gorbanovska received high recognition in two categories – Private clients (Tier 2) and Employment (Tier 2). The editors highlighted the team’s expertise in supporting CFC reporting, tax residency assessments, and personal tax filings. EY continues to assist top executives and business owners with international structures, and supports clients during market entry, M&A transactions, and adaptation to regulatory changes in the employment sector.
