Costa Rica | Remisión de información de Planes de Ventas a Consumidores

In accordance with article 12 of Executive Decree No. 42995-MEIC, companies that sell or market installment sales in the Real Estate Sector must send to the DAC information on current sales plans to consumers within the first 15 business days of the month of August of each year .

To do this, a report must be sent as of the last day of the previous month containing the following:

  1. Name of the consumer(s).
  2. ID number(s).
  3. Contract term(s): start and end date of the contract.
  4. Price(s) of the good.
  5. Amount(s) for reservations, premiums or sums of money of any kind delivered by the consumer and number of installments paid, where applicable.
  6. Branch number(s) or real folio.

In the event of non-compliance, the provisions of articles 39 and 41 of said regulations shall apply. In order to comply with this request, said information must be submitted, attaching a letter signed by the legal representative of the company, the name of the company and the name of the project (indicating, if applicable, the stage in which it is found).
