Following the outbreak of the pandemic and in line with health protocols and government guidelines, EY has encouraged its people to work from home, although EY offices remained open for those needing to work from an office location.

As life is gradually returning to ‘normal’ with a majority of the population vaccinated and a low number in positive COVID-19 cases, EY is moving to a hybrid working model. Thus, as of Monday, October 18th, EY recommends that its people visit, either its offices or a client site, at least two days per week, always adhering current distancing requirements.

The new, inclusive and flexible hybrid working model is designed to fit the preferences of EY’s people, while also addressing the evolving operational/business needs of an everchanging working world. It encourages teaming and agility, and will help secure exceptional client service. The operational aspects of this new working model will be fine-tuned in the coming months, on the basis of the feedback from EY’s people and clients, to secure an optimal balance between working at the office, clients’ sites and at home.

Commenting on the introduction of the new hybrid working model, Ronald Attard, Country Managing Partner of EY Cyprus, said: “Our people lie at the heart of everything we do. Our strength and leading position in the market come from our people, and we believe that this new model will allow the best possible EY experience for ourselves and our clients. At EY, we have championed flexible working for many years prior to COVID-19 and we will continue to do so. This has been built on a culture of trust with our people. The pandemic has clearly demonstrated the advantages of flexibility and it is now time to to build a new working reality, merging the best of the pre- and post-COVID-19 worlds, always prioritizing health and safety, while maximizing the benefits for our people and our clients.”
