  • Lead Advisory

    The EY Lead Advisory team is a specialist group providing strategic and financial advice to business owners and shareholders. The team is made up of motivated and transaction focused business leaders who are passionate about helping clients grow and realise value in their businesses.

    Transaction activity in the Irish Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) market is at its highest levels since the economic crash in 2008. With so many transactions happening in the Irish market at present, clients are looking for a highly skilled and experienced team to advise and guide them through their respective processes.

    Joining the Lead Advisory team will give you the opportunity to help clients at every stage of their capital agenda and ultimately deliver value. You will advise on all steps of a business’ strategic life cycle, including fundraisings, strategic advice, disposals, acquisitions, management buy-outs/buy-ins and succession planning. 

    If you possess a combination of business, transactional, technical and financial expertise, have a track record of delivering complex transactions and possess the skills required to deliver the needs of our clients - you will thrive in our Lead Advisory Team.

  • Restructuring

    EY Restructuring provides leadership in difficult and complex situations to rapidly solve, execute and ultimately transform the outcome for our clients and the organisations we work with. 

    Our market leading Restructuring practice assists many companies who face challenges that present threats to financial performance and viability, regardless of past results or strength of the market in which they operate within. Working with corporates, stakeholders or lenders, we establish and help implement key financial and organisational solutions to enable them to adapt to changing local and global economic conditions.

    The Restructuring team is made up of professionals who specialise in providing services aimed at assisting under-performing clients to achieve a strategic turnaround.

    Within our Restructuring team, you will work across many different sectors, honing your skills through situational experience.   • Transaction Support

    EY Transaction Support involves the provision of financial due diligence services for our clients who are considering either acquiring a business (buy-side or pre-acquisition due diligence) or selling all or part of their business (sell-side or vendor due diligence).

    Our clients in Ireland include high profile local acquisitive corporates as well as mid-market, London-based private equity clients. There is a buzz from working on a live transaction, where our clients get real value from the work we do for them. Whether that be from helping articulate key business drivers, assessing balance sheet exposures, identifying and analysing potential purchase price adjustments, or advising them on transaction legal documentation.

    Our TS practice is globally integrated and we often work with our overseas colleagues, for example when we have an overseas client contemplating a transaction in Ireland and the UK.

    We focus on providing our team with meaningful development opportunities with a focus on on-the-job coaching, working with our team of dedicated diligence specialists and actively seeking opportunities for our people to step-up.

    You will flourish in TS if you are looking to build upon your technical accounting experience by applying a commercial mind-set while working closely with senior level client personnel in high profile circumstances.   • Valuations, Modelling and Economics

    EY's Valuations, Modelling and Economics (VME) team helps clients make critical decisions quickly and confidently. Our team brings its extensive experience in valuations and modelling to analyse businesses and their underlying assets, ranging from intellectual property, complex financial instruments and real/fixed assets. In doing so we help our clients best realise their value in today’s marketplace.

    From business forecasting to transaction models, equity to capital assets, our team help bridge complex issues, articulate visions and build value. We are trusted advisors on decisions related to mergers and acquisitions, litigation and dispute resolution, restructuring, financial reporting, audit, taxation and strategic planning.

    We focus on providing our team with meaningful development opportunities with a focus on, on-the-job coaching working with our team of dedicated valuation and business modelling specialists and actively seeking opportunities for our people to develop and grow new capabilities.

    You'll need the ability to grasp a client’s issues, apply your own commercial insight and collaborate with professionals across EY to deliver an effective and efficient solution.   • Government & Infrastructure

    Our Government and Infrastructure Advisory team is committed to helping our clients in both private and public sector develop and provide the best quality services and solutions to make our country a better place to live in. We work with government departments, public sector bodies and private clients to assist them in identifying and defining opportunities as well as providing advice on economic feasibility, policy analysis, and financial and commercial strategy. We also provide procurement advisory services for large scale infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships (‘PPPs’).

    The government faces issues around delivering necessary services and infrastructure with limited financial resources. As we look to the future, population growth, migration and demographic changes will influence the level of demand on infrastructure and public services. EY brings this future view into focus as we advise our clients in how to identify, deliver and implement the required infrastructure while delivering the best value for money for the public.

    Driving deals through digital

    We help clients work through what their organisation is today and what it could be tomorrow by embracing a digital transactions mindset. In Strategy and Transactions, you’ll be part of a team that leads digital change through four key areas:

    • Strategy and ecosystem – You’ll help clients identify new partners and M&A targets to support their digital growth.
    • Capital and portfolio review – You’ll advise clients on how to get their capital allocation balance right by continuously reviewing their business portfolio so they’re making the right investments and divestments.
    • Deal process – You’ll deploy a deep analysis of new types of diligence when evaluating a target. This might include undertaking cyber diligence or applying intellectual property analysis. 
    • Integration – You’ll work with companies to target multiple digital assets simultaneously, and guide their integration to help deliver maximum value quickly.
