What is the EY Summer Internship Programme?

In college and want to get ahead in your career? You could do a summer internship with us. It’s paid work experience with one of our teams across Ireland. After kicking things off with an induction to EY and some business skills training, you’ll soon be doing the same work as our graduates on real client projects. If we’re impressed with you and your work, we may offer you a graduate position.

What does a Summer with us look like?

Our Summer Internship Programme isn’t so much an internship, it's a summer to become an integral part of a team at EY. You’ll receive quality hands-on training that has real-world application. You’ll stretch yourself and we’ll challenge you. After a comprehensive induction you will join the business and begin doing the same work as any other employee in EY. You’ll work as part of a team, meet with clients and make a real contribution to EY projects. We trust the students who join EY for the summer to make a real impact and we encourage you to do so.

Start your career journey

You’ll receive specific training in a different business area to ensure that by the end of the summer, you will have a wealth of new skills. You will attend interactive seminars discussing the following:

  • Group sustainability challenge
  • Project management fundamentals
  • Digital disruption
  • Department training (service line training)
  • Brand training
  • Commercial awareness training
  • IT training
  • Excel training
  • Presentation training
  • Quality and risk management training
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) day
  • Interview training
  • Professional qualifications training route presentation and training

In addition to your new skills and experience, our internship is also fully-paid. You will work for EY as if you were a full-time employee therefore we believe you should be compensated as such. The summer will offer you the chance to figure out if your chosen career path is the absolute right fit for you. Also, if we’re impressed with you and your work, we may offer you a graduate position.
