Guntars is an EY partner with more than 20 years of experience leading Strategy and Transactions in the Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. It is a market leading team of 30+ professionals. Guntars also has roles as the Strategy and Transactions North Cluster (Baltics, Poland) leader and CESA region Strategy and Transactions COO and Markets function leader in the Riga office.

His experience was gained by serving local and multinational clients, helping them in cross-border transactions, providing transaction support, valuation, M&A services and restructuring services.

Has helped business owners in their decisions on acquisitions or divestments. Guntars is regularly leading complex projects involving other EY service lines and bringing international sector expertise to our clients in the Baltics.

Guntars holds a BSc degree in economics from SSE Riga and an MSc degree in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics.
Joined EY in 1996.

Guntars has served on the boards of the Foreign Investors Council and Latvian Venture Capital Associations.
