What is Financial Accounting Advisory Services?

The Financial Accounting Advisory Services team helps CFOs and their finance leadership teams build an effective and efficient finance function, with a range of accounting, reporting, IT, analytical and process improvement services, all aimed at helping them achieve operational excellence.

Our services cover a wide range of accounting and reporting, transaction accounting, treasury, and corporate governance services that allow businesses to meet changing market conditions, demands for greater transparency and changing regulatory requirements.

 
 

What could you be doing?

  • Participate in major projects where accounting or financial reporting skills are needed
  • Participate in due diligence or integration projects, working alongside transaction professionals to support clients who wish to buy, sell or integrate companies
  • Contribute to a team that helps clients prepare for IPOs and other public offerings
  • Work as part of a team that develops new approaches to help clients comply with new accounting or financial reporting regulations
  • Contribute to outcomes related to new policies, business cases and capital infrastructure projects
  • Work on financial reporting, finance process improvement and major transactions and financial due diligence both domestically and internationally

Your career journey in Financial Accounting Advisory Services

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development programme that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The programme will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As a Financial Accounting Advisory Services graduate, you’ll take part in:

  • Formal core skills training and on-the-job coaching: building trusted advisor consulting, client leadership, teaming and personal leadership skills. This includes structured problem solving, business writing, Design Thinking, agile working, designing effective presentations, exceptional client service, team communication, high-performing teams, navigating wellbeing and finding your purpose in FAAS

  • FAAS Digital lunch and learning

As a intern, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Financial Accounting Advisory Services teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new interns from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Intern Programme with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training.
