Moodi

At just 23, Kate Gatfield-Jeffries walked away from six-figure job offers to build something she felt the wellness industry lacked. After experiencing chronic health challenges herself, and seeing how poorly burnt-out women were helped by existing products, she wanted to create science-backed supplements made for women, not their insecurities. That thinking led to Moodi, a mental wellness supplement brand designed to help women feel their best through daily rituals they actually enjoy.

Kate built Moodi in her final year of law school, self-teaching every aspect of the business from product formulation to e-commerce and growth strategy. She didn’t earn a salary for two years, relying on pet-sitting full-time while the business grew. Just three years later, Moodi is one of Australasia’s fastest-growing wellness brands.

Kate is driven by a purpose to elevate women in business, wellness, and life. That focus shows up in everything Moodi does, from using inclusive marketing that reflects diverse communities, to running a free naturopath consult programme and offering internships and founder grants for young women.

Kate is supporting charities like Endo Warriors and Women’s Refuge, and built a highly engaged online community.By empowering women to feel their best, Kate’s built a brand that sells more than just aspiration. Her strategy balances fast-paced growth with a clear set of values around community, confidence, and care. As Moodi eyes expansion into the US, Kate remains committed to making wellness not just more effective, but more equitable, too.
