Andrew has over 20 years’ experience consulting to and working in the public sector in the UK and New Zealand. He has managed large-scale programmes, developed key government strategies, business cases and policies.
He was formerly the Deputy Commissioner, Policy and Strategy at the Public Service Commission.
Andrew holds a PhD from Cambridge University.
How is Andrew building a better working world
I aim to bring clarity and discipline to investment and delivery in the public service. The best parts of my career have been establishing the Aiming High for Disabled Children programme in the UK, developing a machinery of government framework at the PSC, and working to bring over a billion dollars of investment to Oranga Tamariki. What links all of these has been drawing clear links between the outcomes we’re seeking at what we actually do and invest in.
