Blair joined EY Port Jackson Partners in January 2018 following a distinguished public sector career. Since joining Port Jackson Partners, Blair has led projects across various industries including energy, government, transport, the water and human services.
Blair is regarded as one of Australia’s foremost senior public servants. He was CEO of four public sector organisations, including Secretary of three departments at both Commonwealth and State levels. Blair played key roles in the design of Australia’s competition policy framework, the GST, the rationale and design of the Future Fund and the design and implementation of emissions trading in Australia. He was the head of the largest State public sector in Australia and has undertaken complex multilateral negotiations both domestically and internationally.
Blair holds a First-Class Honours degree in Economics and a Master of Economics from Monash University. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Australian National University.
